Tampa Tom Brady is the very best Tom Brady. The GOAT is letting his personality roam free in South Florida, which means fans get treated to things like him trolling defensive players for lacking intelligence.
Brady made a crack about the guys on the other side of the ball during his spot on Peyton and Eli Manning’s ESPN2 megacast of the Saints-Seahawks “Monday Night Football” game. He spoke over video of Saints quarterback Jameis Winston pump-faking a Seahawks defender off his feet even though Winston was past the line of scrimmage.

Brady was unsparing as he dropped his dis.
“And the defense, would you give them any credit for being smart enough to figure that out, the jumping? Now, I wouldn’t, believe me,” he said. “Have you ever been in some of those defensive meeting rooms? I mean, you wonder why they play defense and (then) after about two minutes you go, ‘Yup, they can never be an offensive player.’

“Defense is kind of like a dog chasing a car — just get the guy with the ball.”
Brady then tried to buy back some goodwiil with teammates with, “Obviously we’ve got a lot of great defensive players.”

ESPN analyst Tedy Bruschi, a former linebacker and Brady’s teammate during the early years of the Patriots’ dynasty, was watching.
Playing defense is like a dog chasing a car?! @TomBrady is not my friend anymore.

Brady is still outsmarting defenses 21 years after entering the NFL. He’s coming off a four-touchdown performance in the Bucs’ 38-3 rout of the Bears on Sunday. One of those TD passes was the 600th of his career. Brady keeps extending his record for scoring tosses at age 44.
